There was a great deal of business development at MGM Communications. It's where I got my feet wet on the proposal writing and presentation end of things. The job was heavily business development and project management, but I made some brilliant contacts and worked with some incredible people during my time there. This is where I fell in love with the pace of marketing.

The President & CEO at MAXX was as excited about using the web as a marketing tool as I was and handed me the helm on the design and development of it. In order to understand what the investors and analysts really needed from our website, I learnt the in and outs of IR, which led me to a stronger role in IR at MAXX. By the time the company was bought by an O&G reserves company (good for investors), I developed two years of annual reports, quarterly reports, online interactive investor packages and reports and a new electronic system for 'helping' the analysts get a better look at our assets.
